Mercury Rev

this is the 4th album by the band Mercury Rev. you could compare this album to late 90's Flaming Lips, i certainly would, although there is something more "pure" about this music. check this out!

here are three early albums by Animal Collective. the first is called "Spirit They're Gone, Spirit They've Vanished", released under the name "Avey Tare and Panda Bear". you'll find lots of fun stuff in here, lofi-pop-noise type of stuff. very good! next is "Danse Manatee", a slightly more extreme album, of which the word "noise" would more aptly describe. this was released under the name "Avey Tare, Panda Bear, and Geologist". finally is an EP called "Prospect Hummer", which they did with a singer named Vashti Bunyan, an obscure, older folk musician. they're all good!

Animal Collective

this is the fifth album from the animal collective, a mostly acoustic set of songs featuring Avey Tare and Panda Bear. coming after the noise of "Here Comes the Indian", this was the beginning of a new direction for the group. i'm really into it right now, check it out!

this is a wonderful album of classical themes performed on early synthesizers by Wendy (or Walter) Carlos. this album was quite groundbreaking at the time of its release (1968). merry christmas!
