freaky dub

this album is known for being the soundtrack for the dub music radio station in Grand Theft Auto 3. scientist was an engineer who learned from king tubby, but enjoyed creating much spacier sounds than his mentor. this is actually one of his better recordings, you should check it out.

here are three early albums by Animal Collective. the first is called "Spirit They're Gone, Spirit They've Vanished", released under the name "Avey Tare and Panda Bear". you'll find lots of fun stuff in here, lofi-pop-noise type of stuff. very good! next is "Danse Manatee", a slightly more extreme album, of which the word "noise" would more aptly describe. this was released under the name "Avey Tare, Panda Bear, and Geologist". finally is an EP called "Prospect Hummer", which they did with a singer named Vashti Bunyan, an obscure, older folk musician. they're all good!
