wow, long time no post eh? time to make up for it with lots of cool shit. first up is the debut album from canadian electro-revivalists Chromeo. with electro house being so prominent today, its interesting to hear people taking the music back to it's roots. plus it's got some wicked grooves. check it out!

Skream!

dubstep is a form of electronic music with heavily emphasized basslines and reverberated breakbeats, most popular in the UK. Skream runs dubstep. check out his debut album, "Skream!", which introduced dubstep to the masses.

A Clockwork Orange

this is the Original Sound Track for Stanley Kubrick's film "A Clockwork Orange". this is very evocative music, and if you've seen the film before, you should have no trouble recalling it while listening to this marvelous recording. featuring music performed by Wendy Carlos and some orchestral snippets, you should check this out now!

this is one of those albums that just is good. this is "Another Green World" by Brian Eno. featuring robert fripp on guitar and filled with more purely instrumental music than any of his previous albums, this was perhaps the pinnacle of Brian Eno's career. check it out!

lots more animal collective

here are three early albums by Animal Collective. the first is called "Spirit They're Gone, Spirit They've Vanished", released under the name "Avey Tare and Panda Bear". you'll find lots of fun stuff in here, lofi-pop-noise type of stuff. very good! next is "Danse Manatee", a slightly more extreme album, of which the word "noise" would more aptly describe. this was released under the name "Avey Tare, Panda Bear, and Geologist". finally is an EP called "Prospect Hummer", which they did with a singer named Vashti Bunyan, an obscure, older folk musician. they're all good!
